A French girl is recovering in hospital after she was bitten by a crocodile whereas foolishly attempting to get a selfie with it.

Benetulier Lesuffleur, 46, was bitten on the leg after tripping over subsequent to the crocodile whereas taking the image.

She had been on the Kho Yai Nationwide Park, in central Thailand, together with her husband when she noticed the crocodile in a pond.

She ignored warning indicators and went off the path to attempt to get a selfie with the crocodile 

The girl was taken away on a stretcher and is now recovering in hospital
