Waitrose staff bought a shock when a client tried to enter the grocery store on horseback.

It was posted on the 'Overheard in Waitrose' Fb web page, alongside the query: 'How else would you journey to Waitrose?'

The picture has drawn some responses, together with from James Garner: 'Pricey sir, to supply guardian and youngster areas and never horse and rider areas is discrimination, and never very Cheshire of you at all.'

It's not clear whether or not the lady was capable of 'park' her horse and do her weekly store. 

Final week two ladies on horseback rode by means of a McDonald's drive-thru to order a takeaway in Stretford, Higher Manchester.

Emily Royle, 29, was within the queue on the restaurant and mentioned she could not consider her eyes after they trotted up and purchased some meals.

Drive-thru lanes are just for vehicles and vans however Miss Royle claims they left with their meals and milkshakes.
