Biologists from the College of California at Riverside used high-speed cameras to check predator-prey interactions within the wild. They discovered that the rattlesnakes strike sooner within the wild — in comparison with laboratory observations performed in prior research — however the kangaroo rats' "sling shot" tendons give them an excellent probability at evasion.
