British soldier is killed in Iraq but their death is 'not as the result of enemy activity' 

  • The unnamed British soldier was in Taji, Iraq, coaching troops to battle towards ISIS

A British soldier has died in Iraq whereas coaching troops to battle towards ISIS, the Ministry of Defence confirmed right now. 

The solider died following an 'incident' however the loss of life was not 'a results of enemy exercise'. 

The MoD is investigating the loss of life and revealed that the solider was serving with the 2nd Battalion the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment.

A British soldier has died in Taji, Iraq, whereas coaching troops to battle towards ISIS, the Ministry of Defence confirmed right now

They added: 'The loss of life occurred in Taji following an incident that's at present beneath investigation, however we will affirm that it was not on account of enemy exercise.'

Quite a few British troops are at present in Iraq serving to practice troopers to battle towards the so-called Islamic State.  

The Duke of Lancaster's Regiment was shaped in July 2006 and the 2nd Battalion is predicated at Weeton Barracks, close to Blackpool, Lancashire.   

The Ministry of Defence confirmed that the soldier died in Taji following an incident which is 'at present beneath investigation'
