Bristol lodger tortured his landlord's cat

A lodger was caught red-handed repeatedly torturing his housemate's cat - after the pet proprietor put in hidden cameras.

Merciless Matthew Sparks, 29, would decide on the poor and defenceless animal when he was alone within the property.  

Its proprietor realised her cat 'Elfie' was performing unusually so put in hidden cameras - and recorded what was happening in Fishponds, Bristol. 

Sparks was filmed dropping the helpless moggie to the bottom, aggressively gripping her by the scruff of the neck and tormenting her.

'If it wasn't for her proprietor deciding to put in the hidden cameras nobody would have identified what was happening.'
