A teenage lady who spent her life being carried round in a plastic bowl as a result of her physique stopped rising when she was a child has died.

Tragic Rahma Haruna turned well-known all over the world after an image of her being carried by her 10-year-old brother was shared on-line.

Photojournalist Sani Maikatanga, who took the photograph, shared information of the 19-year-old's loss of life.

She wrote: 'Rahma Haruna a 19 years outdated lady has handed away on Sunday 25th of December 2016. Could Almighty grant her Jannatul Firdaus (Paradise) ... amen (sic).'

Rahma, from Kano, northern Nigeria, gave the impression to be a wholesome child, however she was born with a thriller situation which meant her physique stopped creating, although her head grew to the scale of a standard teenager's.

She is believed to have been in fixed ache due to the situation, and wanted to be within the plastic bowl in an effort to preserve herself upright.
