Hull Prison in LOCKDOWN after inmates transferred from Birmingham prison 'assault staff'

The Ministry of Justice stated: 'HMP Hull, like all prisons throughout the property, is being intently monitored for indicators of potential unrest.

On Friday, prisoners contained in the 1,450-capacity jail in Birmingham, posted selfies of themselves carrying riot gear.  

Some 240 prisoners have been then moved out of the institution - one of many nation's largest jails.
