Chicken thief tied to pole and publicly shamed after being caught red-handed in China

A Chinese language man was tied to a utility pole, stripped and publicly shamed after he dared to attempt to steal a rooster.

Villagers in Maoming metropolis in Guangdong province taunted the thief as one man is heard chanting 'rooster thief, rooster thief' in Cantonese, a dialect frequent to southern China and Hong Kong. 

Chickens hung round his neck throughout the brutal taunts. The would-be rooster bandit entered the village with one other thief who managed to flee on December 9.

The 24 second video was uploaded by Miao Pai Tou Tiao yesterday. One lady berates the person who was stripped of his trousers as she says 'you deserve it.' 

The person regarded downwards throughout the humiliating incident. 

Somebody lifted the thief's head so he has to make eye contact with the digital camera. Many individuals gathered to look at the general public shaming. 

The villagers stored the thief there till police arrived on the scene to correctly examine him.

Public shaming for stealing in China is not a brand new idea. 

In 2013 a retailer proprietor pinned shoplifter Li Wu to the bottom, took a pair of scissors and hacked off her lengthy darkish hair.
