New Zealand man chokes on a chocolate bar before driving over a cliff

A person has miraculously survived after choking on a Crunchie bar and driving his automotive off a cliff and right into a river in New Zealand.

The 40-year-old, who had his 60-year-old mom within the automotive, was driving alongside the Napier-Taupo Street in Taupo on the North Island, reported stuff.co.nz.

He was reportedly consuming a Crunchie bar whereas driving and began to choke, so he went to tug over the automotive.

The automotive skidded on the moist street and plunged off the sting, falling 35 metres down a cliff and into the Waipunga River.

'We're gobsmacked as to how they survived this,' Marshall stated.

The pair climbed down and helped the person's mom out of the automotive earlier than emergency companies arrived. 

Napier Fireplace Service senior station officer Bryan Dunphy stated it was 'a really troublesome rescue' and it was 7pm earlier than the girl was again up on the roadside.  

The person and his mom had been taken to Taupo Hospital and handled for minor accidents and gentle hypothermia earlier than being discharged later that night time.
