Duchess of Cornwall attends memorial service for Prince Charles's friend Mark Vestey

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Sophie, Countess of Wessex and Princess Michael of Kent have been amongst those that attended a memorial service for The Honourable Mark Vestey, who died earlier this month on the age of 74.

Polo-playing Mr Vestey, a detailed pal of Prince Charles, was the youthful brother of beef baron Lord 'Spam' Vestey, and was confined to a wheelchair after he suffered a horrible looking accident in 1984.

Tim Keyte, supervisor of Cirencester Polo Membership, described former chairman Vestey as 'an unimaginable man', including: 'He will likely be sorely missed.'

Mark's spouse, Rosie, was beforehand a girlfriend of Charles within the Seventies. 

Lots of turned out yesterday for the service on the Church of St John The Baptist in Cirencester, Gloucestershire.

Mr Vestey died at his house on November 5, and is survived by his spouse and three kids, Tamara, Ben and Carina. 

He was knowledgeable polo participant in his twenties and represented England in 1971 - and later served as chairman of the Cirencester Polo Membership.
